Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Security Officer in a fast-paced airport environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough security checks and use manual search techniques to ensure prohibited articles are not taken into secure airport areas.
  • Perform regular patrols around airside and landside locations, including access control, passenger, and x-ray screening.
  • Respond to and investigate incidents, completing documentation clearly and concisely.
  • Assist with emergency situations and maintain the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • A positive attitude with a genuine desire to create a pleasant experience for all airport visitors.
  • Customer service experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail to effectively identify potential security risks.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and adhere to strict security protocols.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine security tasks.
Working Conditions

This role involves working in a dynamic airport environment, with a shift pattern of 4 on and 2 off. Early shifts start between 03:30 and 04:30, and late shifts start between 12:30 and 13:30. The role includes 40 hours per week, free staff car parking, and weekly pay.

Please note that due to enhanced background checks, this role is only suitable for individuals who have continuously resided in the UK for the last 3 years.
