Emergency Duty Team Lead

As a Senior Practitioner with Essex County Council, you will be responsible for providing crisis support to vulnerable adults and children outside of regular working hours. This will involve working independently and as part of a team to provide guidance and support to individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. You will also be required to work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure that our service users receive the best possible care and support.
About the Job
This is a challenging but rewarding role that requires a high level of skill, knowledge, and experience. As a Senior Practitioner, you will be expected to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in complex situations. You will also be required to maintain accurate records and complete reports as necessary. A driving license and car are essential for this role, or the ability to meet the mobility requirements through other means.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in Social Work or a related field and be registered with Social Work England. You must also have experience of working with children and families, preferably in a child protection context. In addition to your professional qualifications, you should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively under pressure.
