About the Role

As a Medical Communications Specialist at Adelphi In Healthcare Communications - Excerpta Medica EU SPP, you will play a key role in developing high-quality scientific publications for our global pharmaceutical and biotech clients. You will work closely with our international team to create innovative medical education and communications programmes that spark debate, educate, and stimulate dialogue.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans for scientific publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations.
  • Provide project management and oversight for a series of projects, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Lead project calls with pharmaceutical clients and clinical experts to align on project scope and content direction.
  • Ensure project information in publication records is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide direction and guidance to internal and external medical writers regarding assigned projects.
  • Communicate project status and changes effectively across internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements and Skills

  • PhD in life sciences or a biomedical MSc degree plus relevant work experience.
  • Publication-planning experience in a medical communications agency, a scientific/medical publishing company, or the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent command of the English language and outstanding skills in writing and communication.
  • Ability to learn rapidly and apply knowledge in previously unfamiliar therapy areas.
  • Strategic, critical thinking in addition to strong analytical skills.
