We're currently recruiting a Head of Food Service to help us create exceptional food experiences for Defence on a full-time basis, contracted to 36 hours a week. As a Head of Food Service, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that truly brightens our clients' and customers' days, all within the market-leading food service company in the UK.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be responsible for leading a team of chefs in delivering exceptional food experiences to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve high-quality food that meets the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve our food services and implement changes as needed.
  • Listen and act on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services.
  • Support the creation of new menus and creative food concepts that meet the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Maintain a positive brand image by representing our company in a professional manner.
  • Monitor inventories to ensure our kitchens are well-stocked and maintain high standards of hygiene.
Requirements
  • Experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Food Hygiene certificate and willingness to obtain any additional certifications required by law.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a comprehensive training program, meal allowance, and opportunities for career advancement.
