Job Title: Founding Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Founding Engineer to join our team at Burns Sheehan Ltd. As a Founding Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology roadmap and leading the design and build of our platform.

About the Role:

The Founding Engineer will work closely with the CTO and the business to evolve our platform, defining the next product iterations and leading the design and build to improve its scalability and reliability. The role combines complex data challenges with a growing marketplace, requiring the Founding Engineer to shape the technology roadmap, managing product development from ideation to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and build of our platform, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Work closely with the CTO and the business to evolve our platform and define the next product iterations.
  • Shape the technology roadmap, managing product development from ideation to implementation.
  • Build and shape the team, mentoring team members and prioritizing team health.

Requirements:

  • Strong software engineering skills, with in-depth knowledge of the Javascript ecosystem (React, Typescript, Node).
  • Experience with Python, GCP, and MongoDB/PostgreSQL would be great.
  • A passion for sustainability and a desire to work in a revenue-generating start-up.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
