Job Description:
StraightLine Civils is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Carlisle. The ideal candidate will have a background in heavy civils and experience working on large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare project financial reports and budgeting documents
- Manage and negotiate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Work closely with engineers and accountants to ensure accurate measurements and valuations
- Handle contracts and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with managers to achieve financial goals
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the heavy civils industry
- Experience with New Engineering Contracts (NEC)
- Knowledge of heavy civils processes and industry best practices
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong numeracy and IT skills, including proficiency in software applications such as Bluebeam and CAD
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Valid driving license
What We Offer:
A permanent site-based position with a competitive salary of £50,055 per annum, including a company car. The salary is negotiable based on experience.
