Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator Specialist to join our team at Royal London. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our database systems.


Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and manage SQL Server environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Maintain system health and monitor performance to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and customers to provide technical support and guidance on database-related matters.
  • Work closely with other teams to deliver project activities and resolve incidents related to SQL server environment.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic roadmaps for SQL server environment.

Requirements
  • Possess extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database backup and restore procedures.
  • Have a good understanding of Microsoft Server platforms and ability to prioritize work to meet business requests and project demands.
  • Familiarity with other operating systems or databases is an advantage.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and SolarWinds is highly desirable.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including annual leave and a pension scheme.
