Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Engineer to join our team at SaluteMyJob. As a Data Centre Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities, including the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the development and implementation of best practice and best in class M+E methodology to ensure rigorous and effective maintenance regimens are performed and maintained.
  2. Provide data reporting to the Facilities Manager to ensure that all data centre operations are running efficiently and effectively.
  3. Conduct proactive risk assessments and report any potential threats to service delivery to ensure that our data centre operations are secure and reliable.
  4. Support continuous improvement in organisation, productivity and quality within the Facilities team to ensure that our data centre operations are running at the highest level.
  5. Work with Security to maintain and administer access control requests to ensure that our data centre facilities are secure and accessible only to authorized personnel.
  6. Liaise with Change, Architecture, Professional Services and DC Facilities teams to ensure that all data centre infrastructure changes are successful and do not impact our operations.
  7. Build strong relationships with our suppliers to gain knowledge of plant and equipment and keep up to date on M+E technology improvements to ensure that our data centre operations are running with the latest technology.
  8. Be part of the On-Call rota to support the infrastructure outside of normal hours to ensure that our data centre operations are running 24/7.
Requirements
  1. Demonstrable detailed knowledge of CRAC Units, Chilled Water Systems and Chillers to ensure that our data centre operations are running efficiently and effectively.
  2. Experience of UPS Frames & Generator systems to ensure that our data centre operations are running with the latest technology.
  3. Understanding of PPM & BMS systems to ensure that our data centre operations are running with the latest technology.
  4. Experienced in Fault Diagnosis and IST delivery to ensure that our data centre operations are running with the latest technology.
  5. A motivated team player, confident in a customer facing role to deliver excellent levels of service to our customers.
  6. Flexibility in working hours to ensure that our data centre operations are running 24/7.
  7. Full UK Driving License to ensure that our data centre operations are running with the latest technology.
