Job Title: Fabric Maintenance Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Cramlington, is seeking an experienced Fabric Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing maintenance cover to the production departments, plant machinery, and site facilities to ensure that equipment is kept in good working order and that breakdowns are attended to in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provision of maintenance cover to production departments, plant machinery, and site facilities.
  • Actively participate in all OHSE training.
  • Support and carry out risk assessments and inform your Supervisor of any new activity that needs to be performed within the area.
  • Maintain levels of housekeeping and hygiene as expected by customers and defined by the company.
  • Take part in 6S activities as required and ensure your working area is always clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities in a timely manner, as defined in the maintenance schedule.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of OHSE procedures and risk assessments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
