A new position has arisen at a leading law firm in Manchester city centre, seeking a skilled costs draftsperson to handle a caseload of legal costs files.

This dedicated costs team handles a range of work including court of protection, commercial litigation, clinical negligence, and personal injury law.

As a costs draftsperson, you will sit amongst market leaders handling a caseload of your own claimant legal costs. This is a rare opportunity for a motivated individual to join one of the best costs teams in the city.

The Role
  1. Handle a varied caseload of costs files, ranging from Personal Injury matters.
  2. Prepare and deal with:
    1. Bills of Costs
    2. Replies and/or Points of Dispute
    3. Costs Budgets
    4. Negotiations
    5. Advices
Key Responsibilities
  • Experience in handling your own costs caseload.
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience in using Microsoft Office.
  • Able to demonstrate commitment and the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the Civil Procedural Rules.
What We Offer
  • £30,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
  • Opportunity to join a high-performing team that handles high-quality work and offers excellent support and training.
  • Two days per week home working.
