Job Title: 2nd Line Engineer

Van Vliet is seeking an experienced 2nd Line Engineer to join our team. As a 2nd Line Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for IT issues
  • Act as the first point of contact for all 1st line IT issues
  • Have a sympathetic and understanding approach to all service users
  • Produce follow-up actions and escalate as necessary within the business
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles and SLA
  • Troubleshoot and configure technical issues
  • Assist the IT Manager and Infrastructure team
  • Install and perform repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer-facing IT support role
  • Familiarity with ticket systems, logging, and remote management and monitoring processes
  • Experience in trouble shooting
  • Able to work with network cables, switches, and patch panels
  • Office Portal and Cloud Management
  • Able to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy together with an analytical mind-set
  • Car driver (due to remote location)
