Road Asset Manager

As a Public Sector Enforcer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the highway boundary and responding effectively to environmental issues. You will work closely with statutory, voluntary, private agencies, and communities to achieve effective partnerships and working relationships. Your duties will include ensuring that highway inspections are completed on time and to the required standard, preparing technical reports for Members, partners, customers, and stakeholders, supporting the performance management of services and teams, dealing with customer enquiries and enforcement issues, carrying out condition inspections of public highways, and recording all condition surveys accurately. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the Highway Act and Environmental Protection Act, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to remain calm and positive in challenging circumstances, a customer-focused approach, and good organisational skills. We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
