We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Gynaecology, Hepatobiliary, Thoracic Surgery Unit at The London Clinic. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Job Summary

This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, with rotational shifts including long days, nights, and weekends. The successful candidate will have experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a hospital environment and will be able to provide assistance with patients' overall care and safety, as well as supporting the team to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in delivering a high standard of holistic care to patients, recognizing their individuality and promoting privacy and dignity.
  • Perform and report clinical observations of patients, including respiration rate, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and fluid balance.
  • Assist with patient hygiene, elimination, mobility, physical comfort, eating, and drinking, while observing and reporting specific changes.
  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, patients, visitors, and other hospital departments.
  • Assist with the maintenance of ward cleanliness and adhere to The London Clinic policies relating to infection control.
  • Participate in Unit/Clinic projects.
Requirements
  • Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant within a hospital environment.
  • NVQ in Care Level 2.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Polite and pleasant with an appropriate professional demeanor and able to cope with stressful and sensitive situations.
  • Awareness of the importance of confidentiality and a flexible approach to working arrangements.
