We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Alecto Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Operations & Maintenance Team and the safe and efficient operation of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the plant is operating within its parameters while complying with strict HSE rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Manage the operational, mechanical, and electrical & instrument maintenance teams and contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Provide technical supervision and assistance where necessary for company and contract staff engaged in work.
  • Provide effective training and monitoring of shift staff to ensure personnel are competent to undertake their duties.
  • Work on outage planning, plant improvement projects, and plant optimisation projects.
Requirements:
  • A relevant technical qualification such as an ONC/HNC/HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • At least 5 years' experience in an operational environment on a power station with Supervisory experience.
  • Senior Royal Navy Marine Engineers with significant watch-keeping experience will also be considered.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH.
  • Senior Authorised Persons Status or experience with High Voltage equipment would be a bonus.
Package:
  • Salary around £80,000 plus benefits.
  • Competitive Holiday and Pension Contributions.
  • Performance related Bonus available.
