IT Security Engineer Opportunity

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company based in Camberley, Surrey.

The company is expanding and requires an IT Security Engineer to develop and manage their cybersecurity strategy. The successful candidate will join a small team working alongside Software Developers, an IT Support Engineer, and an IT Systems Administrator.

The IT Security Engineer will be responsible for managing the security infrastructure and will be the main liaison with the external SOC.

This role would suit someone who has worked in IT / infrastructure support and transitioned towards more of an IT security focused role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to protect the company's infrastructure and data
  • Manage the security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and Microsoft Suite
  • Conduct security vulnerability assessments and implement remediation plans

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with SQL and understanding of ISO27001
  • Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus certification

The company operates on a hybrid model, with 2 days a week spent in the office.
