Quality Inspector Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team at Recra Consulting. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained in our engineering environment.


Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct Inspections: Conduct finishing and final inspections of machine parts to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  2. Perform Quality Checks: Perform inspections based on customer requirements, including visual inspections, first-article inspection reports, and dimensional measurements.
  3. Release Parts: Check and release first-off parts produced in the machine shop.
  4. Assist with Finishing Operations: Assist with final finishing operations such as polishing, part marking, and deburring.
  5. Operate Measuring Equipment: Operate PC-driven measuring equipment for tasks such as TESA, surface measurement, and contrasting.
  6. Complete QA Documentation: Complete all required QA documentation and file QA paperwork.
  7. Operate Machinery: Operate machinery as requested, including changing and measuring parts.
  8. Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of customer proprietary information.
  9. Stay Aware: Stay aware of quality requirements and health and safety responsibilities.
  10. Adhere to Procedures: Adhere to procedures for proper use and care of equipment, systems, and materials.

Essential Qualifications:
  1. Quality Experience: Previous experience in a quality/inspection role within an engineering environment.
  2. Reading and Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and check measurements.
  3. Quality Awareness: Strong awareness of quality requirements and health and safety responsibilities.
  4. Equipment Use: Adherence to procedures for proper use and care of equipment, systems, and materials.
  5. Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience polishing/deburring small parts.
