Job Title: Community Dietitian Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a newly qualified or experienced Dietitian to join our team in a community-based role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients requiring dietetic support on their weight loss journey via several methods: one to one clinics and groups, delivered face to face and remotely, using evidence-based practice and behaviour change techniques.

Main Duties:
  1. Manage a caseload of patients requiring dietetic support on their weight loss journey.
  2. Deliver one to one clinics and group sessions at various clinic sites across Barnsley.
  3. Work in partnership with other health professionals to provide holistic patient care.
  4. Participate in education & staff development, clinical supervision and the appraisal process.
  5. Contribute to the delivery of dietetic student training.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
  1. BSc/MSc or Post-graduate Diploma in Dietetics.
  2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Desirable:
  1. Evidence of other post-registration education and training.

Experience:
Essential:
  1. Experience of working in a therapy setting across the health community (inpatients and outpatients).
Desirable:
  1. Experience of training student dieticians.

  1. Demonstrate commitment to professional and personal development.
  2. Adaptable and flexible around working times and practices including evening and weekend work where necessary.
  3. Ability to travel around the Trust as appropriate to role.

Salary: £25,819 - £33,786 per annum (£20,144 - £27,551 without London weighting)
