A renowned Civil Engineering contractor, Fawkes and Reece, is seeking a highly skilled Highway Infrastructure Coordinator to join their Utilities division in North London.

This challenging project involves working on a Highways scheme, requiring the successful candidate to be CIS paid and contracted until mid-2025. The opportunity for contract extension exists for individuals who demonstrate exceptional performance.

The Highway Infrastructure Coordinator will report directly to the Section Engineer/Manager and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of site setting out. Key tasks include:

  1. Site Setting Out: Utilizing GPS, EDM, Total Station, and other methods to accurately set out utilities.
  2. Watching Brief Supervision: Providing close supervision for high-risk activities adjacent to utilities to ensure safety protocols are followed.
  3. Handover Information Provision: Ensuring that as-built and existing utility information is effectively communicated to site operatives and supervisors.
  4. Quality Standards Compliance: Conducting quality checks and completing check sheets in accordance with ITPs (Instructional Technical Procedures).
  5. Safety Inspections and Workplace Evaluations: Assisting or undertaking safety inspections and workplace evaluations to maintain a safe working environment.
  6. CAT & Genny Surveys: Undertaking CAT & Genny surveys prior to excavation works commencing to identify potential risks.
  7. Effective Communication: Maintaining excellent communication skills with team members, subcontractors, the general public, and clients.
  8. Site Surveys and Sketch Production: Conducting site surveys and producing sketches of survey work and construction sequences.

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  1. CSCS Card: Holding a relevant CSCS card for the position.
  2. SSSTS or SMSTS Certification: Possessing SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  3. Safety Critical Medical (Optional): Having Safety Critical Medical certification (optional).
  4. AutoCAD (Optional): Being proficient in AutoCAD (optional).
