Advanced Animation Programmer

At Aardvark Swift Recruitment Ltd, we're partnering with a renowned UK AAA studio to find a skilled Advanced Animation Programmer to drive the studio's animation technology forward.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the studio to provide animators and other disciplines with cutting-edge animation tools and support.

As part of the studio's gameplay systems team, you'll work on architecture and implementation, technology and workflows, people and processes, planning and strategy, R&D, and game making.

The studio is known for creating critically acclaimed games that combine genre-topping gameplay with character-driven cinematic narrative and AAA production values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain animation-related codebase and tools for high-quality performance
  • Collaborate closely with animators, gathering requirements and providing technical support
  • Mentor fellow programmers and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, delivering pragmatic solutions aligned with project goals
  • Foster collaboration across feature teams to enhance animation quality across various game elements
Requirements:
  • Games industry experience supporting and collaborating with animators
  • Advanced understanding of C++, low-level animation code, and 3D mathematics
  • Familiarity with cutting-edge animation technologies and industry-standard tools
  • Experience in implementing animation features for gameplay or cinematics
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
