Lecturer - SEND (Complex Needs) Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer - SEND (Complex Needs) to join our team at Barking & Dagenham College. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, including schemes of work, to meet the needs of our students.
- Implement learner-centred assessment methods, providing constructive and developmental feedback to support student progress.
- Monitor and report on student attendance, progress, and achievements, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Provide personal coaching and pastoral support to designated students, promoting their development and future progression.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments in your specialist area, ensuring the relevance and employability of our students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, enhancing your skills and knowledge in education theory and practice.
- Possess a teaching qualification with a relevant subject specialism or be willing to undertake further education training.
- Have recent teaching and assessment experience in Functional Skills English or maths.
- Have relevant experience teaching year-old learners with challenging behaviour.
- Excellent administrative skills, with the ability to accurately track student attendance, progress, and achievements.
