As a Computer Science teacher at the Wayman Group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students, assessing and monitoring student progress, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues to provide a cohesive and holistic approach to students' education.

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification, and experience teaching Computer Science at the primary or secondary level. You should also have sound knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment procedures in Computer Science, strong IT skills, and effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons to students, ensuring that the curriculum is effectively taught and students make progress.
  • Plan and prepare engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of the students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies to support student development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a cohesive and holistic approach to students' education.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in Computer Science education and implement new teaching techniques where appropriate.
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at the primary or secondary level.
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment procedures in Computer Science.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in using Computer Science software and hardware.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest developments in education and Computer Science.
