We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. This is a full-time, permanent position.

As a member of RSK Group Ltd, we are a geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigation company with offices covering the majority of the United Kingdom. Our fully accredited UKAS laboratory and Geosciences division make us one of the UK's largest site investigation service providers.

Due to continued growth and exciting new projects, we need an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to help with a varied workload in a growing office. The position involves:

  • Supervising ground investigation crews, including cable percussion, rotary, and window sampling crews
  • Trial pitting
  • Logging of soil and rock to BS5930 / Eurocode 7
  • Groundwater and gas monitoring
  • Producing Phase 1 Desk Studies
  • Assisting in the preparation of Factual and Interpretive Reports
  • Good Project Management skills

Requirements:

  • Experience within the industry
  • A geology / earth sciences degree, or a master's degree in engineering geology or geotechnical engineering
  • A full UK driving license
  • Willing to travel and work away from home
  • Be within a reasonable travelling distance of your office base, or be prepared to re-locate
  • CSCS Card & First Aid Training
  • SSSTS
