Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with HVAC experience to join our team at J&T Recruitment Ltd. as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - HVAC Building Services.

About the Role:

  • Attend project handover meetings to receive a comprehensive project package and develop quality, environmental, health, and safety documents.
  • Conduct design reviews and value engineering exercises based on project documentation, recording all findings.
  • Assist in producing a programme of works for the project.
  • Collaborate with the procurement manager to review plant packages before ordering.
  • Coordinate mechanical services and builders' work drawings with the site manager/project manager.
  • Manage and deliver quality-assured documents, including drawings, RFIs, technical submittals, schedules, and QA packs.
  • Assist site management with project variations as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of operation and maintenance documentation.
  • Commissioning process: Assist in producing and revising commissioning programmes, organizing specialist subcontractor and supplier attendance, managing specialist subcontractor and supplier commissioning, and uploading certificates to relevant file-sharing platforms.
  • The engineer will adhere to QDSM internal templates and procedures for all works carried out, in line with ISO standards 9001, 14001, and 45001.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or building services.
  • Strong HVAC background.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
  • Proficient in CAD and BIM.
  • Excellent IT and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with project controls and the full project lifecycle.
  • Highly motivated and dependable individual.
  • Experience in energy systems and energy-saving analysis is advantageous.
  • Client-facing experience is advantageous.
