Underwriting Expert Job Description

We are looking for a talented Underwriting Expert to join our team at CONNECT RECRUITMENT CONSULTANTS LIMITED. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing the risk associated with extending customer credit and financing.

Responsibilities:

  • Manual underwriting of dealer proposals in accordance with company credit/underwriting policy rules and service level adherence targets.
  • Ensuring the quality of underwriting decisions is in line with company tolerances and credit policy rule sets.
  • Analysis of retail customers' financial statements to reach timely and accurate conclusions on referrals.
  • Utilisation of the Genus system to achieve acceptance decision targets and self-management of work queues.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3 years' experience in an underwriting or credit analyst position in financial services.
  • Experience in the automotive or consumer finance industry is advantageous.
  • Practical experience with scorecard design and testing.

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum
