Job Title: Water Resources Analyst

Cambridge Water is seeking a skilled Water Resources Analyst to join our team. As a leading water company, we provide a constant supply of drinking water to our customers.

The Role:

We are looking for a Water Resources Analyst to assist and provide support in all aspects of preparing and monitoring our Water Resources Management Plans. This includes:

  • Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of Water Resources Management Plans across both our South Staffs region and Cambridge region.
  • Supporting investments to maintain water supplies and assisting in determining the components of company plans for supply and demand scenarios.
  • Collecting, analysing, and reporting data to support technical documentation for statutory plans using industry-standard methods for forecasting and planning.
  • Modelling data to support water resource management plans.
  • Supporting drought planning and water resources updates.
  • Working on compliance issues, including MCERTS.
  • Monitoring and forecasting water abstractions, discharges, and water resources assets.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Undertaking research, critique, adapt, and develop new techniques for water resources management.
  • Manipulating and analysing data using spreadsheets and analytical tools.
What You Will Need:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A full, valid driving licence as some travel will be required.
  • A strong work ethic and organisational skills.
  • The ability to collate and analyse data using spreadsheets and analytical tools.
  • Competence in producing clear and concise reports and presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members and key stakeholders.
  • Some experience in water resources management, water supply and treatment, hydrogeology, or the water industry.
  • Knowledge of UK Water Resources Planning, Environment Agency methods, and environmental impact assessment.
