Job Description: Senior Electrical Engineer Leader

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer Leader to join our team at 1st Step Solutions. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to take on a leadership role and be responsible for the technical delivery of electrical projects in Central London.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer Leader, you will be accountable for the technical delivery of electrical projects, working closely with the project manager and other stakeholders to ensure timely and within-budget delivery. You will have experience in leading electrical projects, including design, installation, and commissioning, as well as a strong understanding of health and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading electrical projects from start to finish, including planning, coordination, and supervision of site activities;
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and company policies;
  • Coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery;
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks, and implementing mitigation strategies;
  • Developing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and reports;
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to project teams, including electrical engineers, technicians, and tradespeople.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering or a related field;
  • Experience in leading electrical projects, preferably in a Tier 1 M&E contractor environment;
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards;
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
