Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity to join the Systems Design Team at BAE Systems, where you will play a crucial role in the integration of new radars and functionalities for the Typhoon aircraft.

Your primary focus will be on analysing system requirements and transposing them into system designs. You will also create and review documentation for the FESS team and customers, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately conveyed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse system requirements and translate them into effective system designs
  • Create and review comprehensive documentation for the FESS team and customers
  • Configure supplier-provided software to ensure successful application builds
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior team members
  • Stay up-to-date with current tools, software products, and processes used within the team
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A strong engineering background with experience in system and software application design and architecture principles
  • Proficiency in modelling techniques and tools, such as UML, Enterprise Architect, and XML/XSD
  • Experience with requirements analysis, elaboration, and management using Rational DOORS
  • Familiarity with configuration and version control tools, including Rational ClearCase and Git
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems environments, test processes, database technologies, and software development methodologies
