Job Title: School Caretaker

Provide Education is seeking a reliable and dedicated School Caretaker to join our team at primary schools in Scunthorpe. As a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall condition of the school environment, ensuring a welcoming space for staff and students.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the school grounds are safe, tidy, and well-maintained.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks, ensuring classrooms, hallways, and communal areas are spotless and ready for the school day.
  • Open and lock up the school premises, managing security measures to keep the site secure during off-hours.
  • Identify and report any maintenance, safety, or security issues using the school's IT system.
  • Handle basic maintenance tasks like fixing doors, changing lightbulbs, and managing school equipment.
  • Work closely with school staff to ensure the smooth operation of the school and grounds.


Requirements:


  • Able to log and report issues through the school's system.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience working in a school environment.
  • Candidates must have an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
