Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Matchtech Group PLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing highway schemes and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate site staff, operatives, and sub-contractors to ensure the successful delivery of highway schemes.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, method statements, and hazard risk assessments to ensure the safety of personnel and the public.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring that costs are aligned with agreed tender allowances.
  • Prepare and manage programmes of work, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage design coordination, ensuring that all design elements are aligned with project requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Assess and engage sub-contractors, ensuring that they meet the required standards and are capable of delivering high-quality work.
  • Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion, and supervise, mentor, and assist in the career development of junior staff.
Requirements:
  • Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng) or equivalent.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
  • Up-to-date SMSTS qualification.
  • Appropriate CSCS card.
  • First Aid at work qualification (desirable).
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts and incorporated Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) membership (advantageous).
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
