- Plan and schedule to ensure effective planning, scheduling, and implementation, maintaining project plans and reporting on progress, ensuring that all opportunities, issues, and risks are fully understood and escalated as appropriate.
- Engage with stakeholders to support communications, building effective and collaborative relationships across the programme and beyond, and confidently challenge, influence, and negotiate positive outcomes and solutions.
- Monitor and report on project status, supporting project controls and developing project performance reports.
- Support effective decision making and governance, including service readiness rehearsals, reporting, and engaging in mechanisms that hold the programme to account on delivery, ensuring compliance with GDPR and maintaining an effective audit trail of key design decisions and engagements.
- Support assurance activities and action recommendations, organizing assurance processes as required, and ensuring business and technical implementation readiness.
- Commission and draft briefing papers and key documents to completion, developing and generating planning reports and data to align with governance reporting processes to support effective decision making.
- Support secretariat duties as required, including arranging meetings, delivering meaningful outputs, auditable logs, and records for Synergy governance boards for several large-scale, complex, and cross-Government meetings.
- Support the management of project spend and contribute to the compilation of budgets, contributing to programme business cases.
- Support the monitoring and managing of potential risks and issues, developing mitigating actions and escalating as appropriate.
- Knowledge and experience of working in large-scale projects and programmes, including in IT-enabled business change projects, involving multiple delivery partners in an ambiguous environment.
- Stakeholder engagement ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders, as well as external partners to deliver business outcomes, especially in a fast-paced environment of change.
- Risk and issues management awareness of programme risk management, awareness of identifying and managing risks and issues, including reporting and escalation.
- Planning awareness of programme and project planning and organizing discrete pieces of work within a wider programme, establishing processes, while working to tight deadlines with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills and experience of solving problems, relying on creativity, individual judgment, and expertise to deliver more effective business solutions to continuously improve processes and ways of working.
- Data analysis ability to gather and analyze information, data, insight, and evidence, using analytical skills to inform decisions on complex issues and deliver more effective business solutions.
- MS Office 365 working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly use of MS Project, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
