Job Title: Domiciliary Care Support Worker
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Support Worker to join our team at Richmond Village. As a Domiciliary Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, enabling them to live their best lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with personal care duties, such as bathing, dressing, and continence care, in their own homes within the village.
- Support at mealtimes, serving meals in residents' apartments or within the care home.
- Help promote mental and physical activity of residents through hobbies, interests, or activities within the village.
- Answer emergency calls when the care alert system is activated.
- Work with the Domiciliary Care Manager and other external professionals, such as GPs, Chiropodists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists, as needed.
- Admin duties, including keeping accurate records and maintaining full documentation at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a care or dementia setting, or a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), although full training will be provided.
- A passion for caring for others, respecting people's choices, and prioritizing their safety and welfare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
