The Team

Schroders Capital is the private markets investment division of Schroders Group. With over $97 billion assets under management, we offer a diversified range of investment strategies, including real estate, private equity, secondaries, venture capital, infrastructure, private debt and credit alternatives, insurance-linked securities and impact investing.

The Role

We're seeking a Fund Controller to join our Fund Management team. As a core member of the team, you'll be responsible for contributing to all aspects of the operational management of our Private Equity and Solutions products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operational management and support of the Schroders Capital Private Equity and Solutions products
  • Interaction with investors, fund managers, investment partners, auditors, administrators and other internal/external stakeholders
  • Oversight of investment reports and analysis of information
  • Management of internal workflows and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Enablement, support and driving of change initiatives within Fund Operations
  • Support and coordination of projects and optimization of processes
  • Definition and determination of business requirements
  • Contribution to a supportive and creative environment
The Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience at a financial services company
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as finance, accounting, administration or controlling, or experience in a relevant role
  • Experience in working with colleagues and stakeholders globally and sensitivity to cultural differences
  • Team player, role model, self-motivated with the ability to work independently
The Nice-to-Haves

We'd love to see:

  • Experience in the private equity industry or any other private asset class
  • Knowledge in eFront software
  • Fluent in another European language, both written and spoken
  • Self-starter mentality with a hands-on attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time-sensitive deadlines
  • Credible communicator with a senior audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey complex information in a clear and simple way
  • Organised with a good attention to detail
