Teaching Assistant

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant at Activate Learning, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with a range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities and/or behavioural needs, including mental health and wellbeing needs.
Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you will help students develop life skills, independence, and employability skills. Some students may require personal and/or medical care, and you will receive training to support this.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting learners in the classroom and workshops, on a 1:1 or small group basis
- Assisting with lesson planning and delivery
- Helping learners develop life skills, independence, and employability skills
- Providing personal and/or medical care to students as required
Requirements
- Passion, resilience, and patience to develop independence in learners
- Good communication skills and a cooperative working style
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good literacy, numeracy, and e-literacy skills, including using Office 365 and various IT packages
