Job Title: Premier Mix Operator (SHE Lead)

Job Model: On-Site

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Premier Mix Operator (SHE Lead) to join our team at DSM. This permanent role will work on-site, working days, but with the possibility to cover the 2-shift system when needed. The role is based in the premix department and will also act as an assistant to the SHE department with an approximate 80-20% split between the two departments.

As a Premier Mix Operator (SHE Lead), you will be responsible for inspecting equipment to ensure it is working properly, following production sequences, carrying out front-line maintenance, and assisting maintenance personnel with tasks. You will also be responsible for packing products to prescribed standards, visual process observations, and solving non-routine problems in consultation with the supervisor/fitter.

The SHE responsibilities will include promoting a risk-aware approach to create a safe working environment, participating in the site's SHE audit program, collaborating with colleagues in Regional and Global SHE functions, and assisting with incident investigations. You will also be responsible for training and advising on emergency response, participating in SHE toolbox meetings, and attending site DICI meetings.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Inspect equipment to ensure it is working properly.
  2. Follow production sequences.
  3. Carry out front-line maintenance.
  4. Assist maintenance personnel with tasks.
  5. Pack products to prescribed standards.
  6. Visual process observations.
  7. Solve non-routine problems in consultation with the supervisor/fitter.

  1. A health and safety qualification (minimum IOSH or equivalent).
  2. Relevant industrial experience.
  3. ADR/Dangerous Goods, COMAH, DSEAR, ATEX knowledge and experience would be desirable.
