About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Registered Children's Nurse to join our Paediatric Haemoglobinopathy team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to provide high-quality care to children and young people with sickle cell and thalassemia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to children and young people with sickle cell and thalassemia.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet the individual needs of patients.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote self-management and independence.
  • Contribute to the development of the Paediatric Haemoglobinopathy service, including the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Registered Children's Nurse with current registration with the NMC.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with sickle cell and thalassemia.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide education and support to patients and their families.
