About the Role:

We are currently partnering with a Southwark-based Primary School seeking bright and confident graduates to embark on their teaching journey. As an Education Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the educational development and well-being of young students. This opportunity offers potential for the role to become permanent.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with SEN and complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, and behavioral difficulties.
  • Participate in lesson delivery and offer individualized support to children with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with an experienced inclusion team to ensure ongoing development and participation of children who may struggle in mainstream class environments.
  • Maintain detailed records of pupils' progress and regularly update the class teacher on their development.
  • Possess a passion for education and making a difference in young children's academic performance.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with parents, staff members, and other school personnel.
  • Experience working with primary school children is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate ability to build strong relationships with children and become a trusted figure in the classroom.

The estimated salary for this role is £90-105 per annum, depending on experience. A valid DBS and two references are required for this position.
