Job Title: Specialist Podiatrist - Diabetes

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Podiatrist to join our team at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality podiatry care to patients with diabetic foot complications.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Podiatrist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of excellent patient care. As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with complex foot problems, including diabetic foot ulcers, arthropathies, and other related conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with diabetic foot complications, including ulcers, arthropathies, and other related conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote wound healing and prevent further complications.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols for diabetic foot care.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in diabetic foot care.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a Podiatrist.
  • Postgraduate experience in diabetic foot care.
  • Knowledge of wound care and management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
