About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Tradesperson to join our team at Niyaa People Ltd in Ely, Cambridgeshire. This is a permanent position that involves working within social housing doing renovations and maintenance in the Ely area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out various tasks such as fault fixing, construction, and maintenance duties in void and tenanted properties. They will also be required to work individually and as part of a team when needed, carry out call outs on a rota basis, and ensure tools and equipment are maintained and in good condition.
About the Job
- Carry out repairs and maintenance work in social housing properties
- Work with customers to provide accurate and timely information on the progress of works
- Collaborate with colleagues to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain high standards of health and safety and adhere to company regulations
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NVQ Level 2 qualified in a core subject (carpentry/plumbing/electrical) or NVQ Level 3 if plumbing is your qualification
- Awareness of health and safety regulations
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Full UK driving license
