We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long Term Futures Ltd. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a delightful Year 1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing tailored support to ensure they can access the curriculum and thrive in the school environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the child, promoting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  2. Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to design and implement effective learning strategies.
  3. Create a safe and inclusive learning environment, fostering confidence and self-esteem in the child.
  4. Support the child's communication, independence, and engagement skills, encouraging their overall development.

Requirements:
  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably in a 1:1 or SEN-focused role.
  • In-depth understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and effective strategies for supporting learning and behavior.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the development and wellbeing of young learners.

Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
