Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team at TPF Recruitment. As a key member of our accounting practice, you will play a crucial role in managing client portfolios, preparing financial statements, and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and oversee limited company, sole trader, and partnership accounts, as well as manage corporation tax returns using Iris software.
  • Client Interaction: Directly interact with clients to gather essential information for completing company accounts and tax returns, ensuring timely completion and adherence to filing and payment deadlines.
  • Relationship Building: Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and provide value-added services, fostering long-term partnerships and growth.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with partners and team members to achieve budget targets, maintain technical and professional standards, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements:
  • Accounting Qualification: Hold an Accounting Qualification (ACCA/ACA) or be qualified by experience.
  • Relevant Experience: Possess relevant experience in accounts and tax work in a practice environment.
  • Tax Knowledge: Have sufficient tax knowledge to prepare corporation tax computations and self-assessment tax returns for sole traders/partnerships and ltd companies.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
  • Part-time Hours: Part-time hours available.
