About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Estimator to join our team at Adler and Allan Group. As a Commercial Estimator, you will be responsible for evaluating sales enquiries, providing detailed quotations, and working closely with the sales team to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate technical and commercial aspects of sales enquiries to ensure all relevant information is available.
- Develop and provide detailed quotations for tender submissions.
- Liaise with suppliers to request quotations and negotiate terms.
- Collaborate with in-house engineering disciplines and external resources to prepare robust documentation and costing estimates for proposals.
- Support the sales team in all sales-related activities, including generating new opportunities and managing existing customer relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of all tenders submitted, including associated documentation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and new customers, managing opportunities through to completion.
- Manage teams of technicians, subcontractors, and other employees to ensure work is carried out on time and safely.
- Conduct site audits to ensure work is being undertaken to a high standard.
- Compile Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to a high standard and fully compliant with relevant legislation.
- Supervise specialist subcontractors to ensure services are delivered as per service level agreements.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Estimator with a strong background in engineering and commercial evaluation. You should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work effectively with internal and external clients. Familiarity with OFTEC and fuel storage regulations is essential, as is a full clean UK driving licence.
