Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Child Development Therapist to join our team at Cambian Meeko House. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to work with children and young people with mental health needs and challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:- To provide a range of psychological interventions for children and young people using evidence-based practices.
- To supervise assistant psychologists and psychology graduates (Therapeutic Practitioners) to provide psychological interventions.
- To be responsible for assessments, formulation, and recommendations for psychological support.
- To formulate and deliver care plans involving psychological treatment and management of cases.
- To train and guide support staff to provide psychologically informed practices across the home.
- Postgraduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent).
- HCPC registration.
- A working knowledge of child and adult safeguarding legislation.
- Experience/knowledge of routine clinical outcomes monitoring.
- Experience/knowledge of clinical risk assessment.
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- The ability to use a computer competently, with a broad base of IT skills.
- The ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise workload.
- Strong literacy and report writing skills, with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience of managing complex caseloads and applying a range of interventions.
This role offers a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. Cambian Meeko House is a 12-bedded children's residential home catering for 12-18 year olds with on-going mental health needs and challenging behaviours. The home is situated in Wisbech and has a school on site to support the educational needs of the young people.
