About the Role

Lincoln Mental Health Liaison Service is seeking a Peer Support Worker to provide individual support for service users experiencing emotional distress in the A&E department and inpatient wards at Lincoln County Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a Core 24-hour Service, ensuring each service user receives the right support at the right time.

The Peer Support Worker will provide one-to-one support, building safe, trusting relationships based on non-judgmental listening and shared lived experience.

The role utilises lived experience in a positive way to improve a service user's journey while engaging with mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support for individuals in A&E
  • Build safe, trusting relationships based on non-judgmental listening and shared lived experience
  • Work under the supervision of a Team Coordinator, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and Substance Misuse Recovery Worker

Requirements

Flexible, non-judgmental attitude, shared lived experience, and passion for promoting hopefulness and positive mental health and wellbeing.
