Job Summary:

Premier Recruitment Group is proud to partner with a prestigious client in the manufacturing industry to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a unique opportunity for career growth and development.

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and versatile Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader and contributing to the development of the engineering team.
  • Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production equipment and facilities.
  • Supporting the production team in prioritizing safety, quality, and production volume.
  • Complying with legislative and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Documenting all work through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), shift handovers, and PM worksheets.
  • Awareness of site performance and KPIs, and supporting others to achieve targets for safety, quality, and production volume.
  • Identifying and controlling spare stock holding and procurement.
  • Identifying and planning maintenance and corrective actions in the area.
  • Offering improvement ideas for production equipment and facilities.
  • Performing electrical and mechanical installation works.
  • Having a strong electrical bias and experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Having good skills in fault finding/identification and rectification.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant engineering qualification.
  • Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical and mechanical skills, including 3-phase, motors, sensors, inverters, relays, PLC, and fault finding.
  • Mechanical skills, including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, couplings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
  • Good IT literacy and technical competence to safely operate, make safe, and test systems or installations.
  • Multi-skilled or electrical 18th edition qualifications.
  • Workshop machines and power tools experience.
