We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at INEOS Grangemouth. This exciting opportunity will involve delivering and maintaining a mechanical asset care policy that supports the achievement of Asset SHE, cost, and reliability performance targets.
Key Responsibilities- Define and implement asset care policy for all rotating and static mechanical equipment in the Polymers business.
- Specify and audit inspection activities to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Develop and maintain mechanical engineering standards, procedures, and practices to ensure full compliance with current and future discipline integrity and legislative requirements.
- Develop and continuously update the long-term (+10 year) Mechanical Strategy for Polymers to facilitate the development of future budgets and workloads.
- Maintain asset spares and equipment holding to maximize asset reliability and drive maintenance and TAR efficiency/cost performance.
- Provide discipline expertise and root cause analysis in troubleshooting asset vulnerabilities to minimize impact on the short-term through long-term operating plan.
- Provide discipline expertise for all Polymers improvement projects and act as formal discipline representative to ensure successful service delivery.
- Lead trouble-shooting on critical equipment failures to establish root cause of failure and define improvements to maintenance regimes and equipment design to eliminate faults.
- Ensure correct overall mechanical spend to meet asset requirements within available budget and where required, drive appropriate prioritization.
- Specify TAR work scope requirements (in accordance with asset strategy) and assist in execution to support delivery of safe, on-time, and to-budget TARs.
- Coach all relevant Polymers operations and support personnel to ensure sufficient competence to effectively execute their core roles and generate enhanced service delivery to the business.
- You should be degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (preferably Mechanical Engineering).
- You should have knowledge of theory and practice of managing equipment reliability systems and processes in a production/manufacturing facility.
- You should have petrochemical or refining manufacturing experience, including new plant commissioning, TAR planning and execution, and problem-solving on large-scale static and rotating equipment.
- You should have a strong understanding of discipline legislative and regulatory requirements and demonstrated ability to appropriately translate these requirements into equipment inspection/maintenance regimes.
- You should be skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- You should be self-motivated, with the ability to identify and pursue plant reliability issues to a satisfactory resolution.
- You should have experience of following a Plant Modification process and associated documentation management systems.
