Job Summary

In this pivotal Senior Legal Project Management Analyst position at a leading global law firm, you will be instrumental in supporting the Legal Project Management team. As a key member of our client's operations team, you will play a crucial role in managing early-stage matter engagement, budgeting, ongoing matter lifecycle support, and reporting to enhance profitability and scalability.

This challenging yet rewarding role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in project management tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and Smartsheet, and excellent communication skills. If you have experience working with lawyers and a passion for process improvement, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track data using various tools and technologies.
  • Implement effective matter management workflows to ensure diligent monitoring and drive profitability.
  • Communicate regularly with directors and Client Operations about notable engagements and matter activity.
  • Support the London pricing team by providing data and analytics for accurate estimates and budgets.
  • Prepare insightful reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead matter management efforts in key practice areas.
  • Participate in meetings with partners regarding matter statuses and billing expectations.
  • Apply financial concepts and problem-solving skills to support strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with Client Operations, Pricing, Knowledge Management, and other Business Services groups.
  • Maintain project trackers and budget repositories.
  • Identify and resolve issues, documenting lessons learned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; relevant qualifications/experience desirable.
  • 3-4 years of law firm experience preferred.
  • Strong project management, legal, financial management, and process improvement skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-starter, and highly organized.
  • Strong technical acumen, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
