Excelcare Holdings is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at our care home in Chelmsford, Essex. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, working closely with our care team to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of Care Assistants to ensure outstanding care is delivered at all times.
- Work closely with the Home Manager and ancillary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Engage in meaningful activities with residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
- Develop and implement person-centred care plans and risk assessments to ensure successful delivery of care.
- Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ.
- Experience in a nursing or care home, or as a home care worker.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering from dementia is desirable.
- Previous experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system is desirable.
- 28 days' holiday, including bank holidays.
