Account Director: PR and Communications

About the Role

Copper is seeking a highly skilled Account Director to lead our PR and Communications practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing and executing account strategies, and providing trusted strategic advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of client accounts/projects, driving profitability and productivity within your specific practice area
  • Develop and execute account strategies to meet client needs and business objectives
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on brand message development, language, and tone of voice
  • Line manage junior employees, including day-to-day workload planning, allocation, and monitoring
  • Take a leading role in delivery of new business pitches and tenders
  • Develop and deliver marketing activity in line with the practice business plan

Person Specification

We are looking for an entrepreneurial consultancy professional with the ability to think strategically and balance delivery and attention to detail with innovation and achievement. You will have experience in creation and delivery of communications and engagement strategies, including media relations and public affairs. You must be highly articulate, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to win business, build relationships, and become a trusted advisor.
