Job Summary:

The Cleaning Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of cleaning services to meet and exceed performance targets while maintaining day-to-day liaison with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide direction, guidance, and support to all ISS staff to ensure they can effectively carry out their roles.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete all relevant documentation and maintain accurate records for company systems, including sickness procedures, quality monitoring, food hygiene, training, and staff performance monitoring.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the collation and completion of all Company reports and documentation in relation to the Services provided within the agreed timescales.
  • Sickness Management: Control and monitor sickness levels within Contract and ensure that P&C processes are followed in managing sickness and absenteeism.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Create, maintain, and enhance effective working relationships with all major stakeholders (colleagues, patients, visitors, PFI Partners & Trust Staff) in line with best practice, in order to ensure satisfaction with our service & to demonstrate commitment to our long-term presence within the Trust.
  • Workforce Planning: Plan, allocate, and evaluate work carried out by individuals under the positions control in conjunction with managing annual leave requests and service demand while meeting the required target hours.
  • Service Management: Manage and evaluate objectives and targets for the service as outlined in the business plan. Participate in the preparation of plans, budgets, and forecasts.

Requirements:

  • Education: Management Degree or Higher Level Diploma and skill-based qualification or equivalent.
  • Training: BICS trained.
  • Experience: Previous experience in managing a service contract.
  • Knowledge: Sound knowledge of equipment and Health and Safety.
  • Skills: Previous experience in labour management, financial accounting, and experience of working with Trade Unions.
