About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Care Specialist to join our team at Primary Care Careers. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake thorough examination and assessment of adults and children, utilizing your expertise to diagnose and develop effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate with medical and dental colleagues to assess and treat patients referred to our service.
- Deliver periodontal care and restorative treatments, utilizing your skills and knowledge to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Identify and manage medical emergencies, providing leadership and guidance to the dental team.
- Support the team in ensuring high-quality patient care from check-in to discharge, adhering to our organization's policies and procedures.
- Participate in training and continuing education to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in dental care.
- Contribute to clinical governance, clinical audit, peer review, and other quality initiatives to drive excellence in patient care.

Person Specification
- Registerable dental qualification, BDS/LDS
- Hold a full NHS Primary Dental Care Performer number
- GDC registration
- Vocational Training or equivalent VT in the GDS
- Relevant postgraduate qualification, Diploma in Sedation, Certificate in Special Care Dentistry (desirable)
